Originaire de Boston, Turner Cody pose ses valises à New York à l'automne 1999. Proche de la communauté du Sidewalk Café, il y rencontre Adam Green et Jeffrey Lewis, perfectionnant son songwriting au coeur de la scène "anti-folk". Après une tournée commune en 2018 avec Nicolas Michaux, ils s'associent en studio pour enregistrer l'album de Turner à Bruxelles. Produit par Nicolas Michaux, l'affaire est lovée dans une atmosphère nocturne et sensuelle, qui n'est pas sans rappeler le Gainsbourg des années 1970.
