A sci-fi masterpiece!
I was gripped, reading how the first human envoy to the planet winter struggles to stay safe from cultural blunder, political plots, and finally from the harsh environment, as he embalms on a terrifying treble across the world of perpetual ice and snow. Le Guin’s worldbuilding is brilliant and challenges the reader to imagine a different way of being.
